Very very true. It’s a shame because it feels like you should like it as it is such a famous institution, but there’s something about the attitude and the prices that always leaves me feeling disappointed.

you and katherine are perfectly right, shakespeare & co. may be a nice place, still preserves a kind of “charme” (http://www.flickr.com/photos/giulia_/17602154/), but it is not a good bookshop, i guess it is partly due to the shopkeeper who is kina trashy…
